Officer Derek Dayoub Charged with Assaulting McDonald's Employee

A municipal police officer in Washington County was arrested Tuesday on charges that he assaulted an employee at a McDonald's restaurant in October in Burgettstown.

Derek A. Dayoub, 26, of Scott, was arrested and arraigned, three months after the reported incident, on charges of simple assault, official oppression and harassment. He has been suspended from the job since his arrest, police said.

The charges stem from an incident Oct. 11 at a McDonald's restaurant where he confronted an employee, Brandon Lancaster, 19. The officer accused the teen of having talked about him, according to the affidavit that supports Mr. Dayoub's arrest.

When Mr. Lancaster denied talking about the officer, Mr. Dayoub grabbed him, squeezing a pressure point that caused the victim to collapse, the affidavit said.

Officer North also has since been suspended from the Smith Township police force, pending his prosecution on charges that he illegally obtained oxycodone pills from a police informant. He was charged last week with possession.

This officer did nothing wrong and the truth will prevail. He was set up by Chief George Roberts Burgettstown Police and by The Chief Detective Washington County J. Michael Aaron. These 2 offiers are out of control and this is a personal venndetta against Officer Dayoub. Roberts and Aaron are dirty cops and the truth will be known.

I know officer Dayoub from years past and although it has been years since I have seen him, from what I remember of him, I wouldn't put it past him to do a thing like that.

He,s guilty. I have no doubts

Had a run-in with him a while back. Spoke with authorities in Washington County about helping their case against him, but they said they had enough on him, and that he would never be a cop again. Then after ratting, all charges against him are mysteriously dropped. And guess who surfaces in Frazier Township. Watch the headlines and check the PA Courts website for updates.

Let's not forget he was an officer in Whitaker out by Kenny wood before Springdale and Washington County. He practically rammed into the back of our vehicle trying to do a traffic stop. He was so insane and out of control I rolled the windows up in my car and called 911. Once back officers arrived I gave my phone to one of the new officers so he could speak with 911 operators. Dayoub then illegally search my vehicle. Taking every single thing out of my purse item by item and dumping on the roof of my car. Of course I am a sane person so I didn’t allow this psycho to get the best of me. After an official complaint, charges were dropped. Dayoub refused to let me be picked up from the local jail. I was falsely imprisoned for at least 2 hours. He then came back and got in my face before I was allowed to leave. He then air kicked me out the door. There was no calming him down. He was a monster and a bully. About 1 and 1/2 months later the acting chief was transfering to another area. Dayoub went and filed a new report against me the very same day with about 30 charges most of them new. They were very serious and hefty charges. I again, proceeded to file a complaint. But, officer Dayoub mysteriously took employment in Washington County and charges against me were once again dropped. I was hoping he would have the nerve to show up. I had every intention of filing a major lawsuit. He obviously is not in law enforcement to protect and serve. How insane is that to go after someone you don’t even know and after all that time. This person is a monster waiting to erupt. He is allowed to hide behind a badge and ruin the reputation of heroic officers. The only reason he got off in Washington County is because he rated (probably lied) on his co-officers. I don’t think my taxes should be spent representing this psycho. I am a female and an RN, so I say watch out Springdale women.

This guy has been a piece of sh!t since high school. Any county that employs him as an officer of the law should be held responsible to any crimes he will inevitably commit in the future.

Derek Dayoub was hired to Springdales Police department---he is a dangerous powder kep and our councl better wake up fast before they end up with a major lawsuit for openly, knowledgably hiring him. Mark my words, he is going to hurt someone and if he does I hope those who hired him know they will be named in the lawsuit. He never should have been allowed to be in LawEnforcement. He is an embarrassment and a blackeye to any community hiring him!!

If an officer is strapped for cash, he is tempted to steal from drunks, suspects, car searches, etc. Dayoub is in debt up to his eyeballs!!! Copy and post below links:

We watched this guy pull over a young female neighbor a few weeks ago for going through a stop sign. He yanked open her car door, took the police stance and pointed his gun right at her head. This was a 22 year old female that he terrorized for going through a stop sign. He was pure bully. He will end up being another springdale lawsuit. They certainly seem to pick from the bottom of the barrel

Derek Dayoub was just in the local newspaper of the Valley News-Alle-Kiski Valley area, the acting chief of Springdale just punched out one of his in laws at his families funeral events, inside the funeral home while the funeral was going on! Of course the chief got off the hook with this assault charge a few months later. What in the hell is going on in Springdale, PA, having a chief of police acting like the criminals! 2017

If any of these statements are even true then I believe there is a tip line for FBI in DC. https://www.fbi.gov/tips .

He has no integrity. I cannot believe he is still an officer, let alone for Springdale. He cannot keep his mouth shut. He makes very unprofessional comments while on the job, which targets innocent people. I think he has something against females as well. He is an awful person. I had just one confrontation with him and I have absolutely no respect for him. Everything I've read and heard, no doubt in my mind are true. How does he get off. How does he continue to stay employed within a field that should be well respected. I cannot respect police officers who are like this. The town of Springdale needs to wake up! He is doing it an injustice by keeping him on the force. He is a big ugly loud mouth of a man who flaunts his authority around just because he has a badge and a gun. That's it.
