A retired agent with the FBI in San Diego has been arrested in Las Vegas after a woman was found bludgeoned to death with a hammer.
Clark County jail records showed Edward A. Preciado-Nuno was arrested Thursday on suspicion of murder with a deadly weapon.
An FBI spokesman said Preciado-Nuno retired from the bureau in 2003. He was last assigned to the bureau's San Diego office.
The Clark County coroner's office has not released the woman's identity or the official cause of death. She was found Thursday morning after police were summoned to a Las Vegas home on a domestic violence call.
Police say the woman was discovered in the garage with several blunt-force trauma wounds to the head. Preciado-Nuno also was found in the home.

Ed is the kindest, warmest, most mild-mannered guy I know. I have been his friend & neighbor for over 4 years & the accusations, the way the justice system, and the media are handling this are unjust & unfair. Ed would never do anything of the kind & he was defending himself against a women who has a history of being violent and doing deranged things. She was attacking Ed, (in his 60's)with a clawhammer. He was protecting himself from being blungeoned by her. This whole thing is ridiculous & out of control. I am really disappointed by the way the media has handled this tragic occurrence for all parties.
THIS IS SUCH A HUGE LESSON FOR ANYONE WHO JUDGES FROM WHAT THEY HEAR FROM THE MEDIA.THIS COULD BE YOU OR YOUR LOVED ONE!!!I KNOW THIS MAN AND HE IS THE LAST PERSON ON EARTH WHO WOULD HURT ANYONE!HE WAS TRYING TO DEFEND HIMSELF FROM A VERY LARGE WOMAN.HE IS A FINE,DECENT MAN.THIS WOMAN WAS A CRAZY NUT! I JUST GLAD SHE DIDN'T GET THE CHANCE TO HURT HER CHILDREN!I NEVER WANT TO SEE ANYONE HURT IN ANYWAY.BUT THIS MAN DID NOTHING WRONG WHATSOEVER.THERE IS NOTHING BAD THAT ANYONE COULD SAY ABOUT THIS MAN AND ALL HE DID WAS DEFEND HIMSELF AGAINST A VIOLENT WOMAN WITH A VERY SCARY PAST!
